U.S. Scientists have successfully developed the first cell alive controlled in his totality by synthetic DNA .

The investigators made a “genetic software” of  a bacterium and transplanted into a host cell.

Then the resulting microbe acquired the appearance and behavior expected by the synthetic DNA.

Some of the scientists affirm that synthetics organisms represent some dangers.However, the investigators expect finally to design bacterium cells capable to produce some products like medication and fuel and even to absorb greenhouse gases.

Dr. Vender and his colleges are already working with pharmaceutical and fuel companies to create chromosomes to develop new bacteria to produce useful fuels and new vaccines.

Notwithstanding , Dr. Helen  Wallace from Genewatch UK, that is an organization that drives the genetic technology evolution said to  the BBC that synthetic bacteria could be dangerous.
